#docraftsmonday

Yes its that time of week again...

People are getting ready to post the #docraftsmonday makes on the Official Docrafts Page on facebook. This is where people from all over who use Docrafts products on their crafty projects over the weekend get to show off their makes :)

So here is mine

Made using the Santoro's Gorjuss Range.
The Gorjuss Girl (White Rabbit) is decoupage'd in the centre.
Added ribbon around the frame, A handmade flower in the top left corner and 2 handmade rosettes in the bottom right corner. Finished off with the Simply Gorjuss in the middle of the flower, a flower embelishment in the middle of the largest rosette and a button in the middle of the small rosette. Then added small gems around the Gorjuss Girl (White Rabbit) to look lke stars glimmering

Ribbon Roses Tutorial

A few people on facebook crafting groups I am in have asked me how I make my ribbon roses.
So here is a quick tutorial on how to make them.

1. Select the ribbon you want to use and the length you want to use

2. Fold the ribbon in the centre in a 90 degree angle

3. Fold the bottom piece of ribbon up and the right piece left to keep a 90 degree angle in the centre

4. Then fold the top piece back down and the left piece to the right

5. Repeat the above steps until there is no more ribbon left to fold over

6.Grip the final fold between 2 fingers tightly, letting the rest fall.

7. Pull one of the ribbon pieces outwards and watch as your flower begins to form.

8. Turn your hand over still keeping hold tight and pull the ribbon more to tighten up the flower until it is suitable. Then glue both the ribbon ends in place and trim.

9. Your flower should now be finished :)

Depending on the length and width of the ribbon you use, will depend on the size and fullness of the flower

Many thanks for looking and hope this helps :)

A Helping Hand

Hello again everyone!!!

Well todays post... I have been very busy making pop up box cards over the last week.
26 of them have been made in a week. all with Mothers Day theme. So rather than bore you with multiple pictures of practically the same thing, I thought I'd share a pop up box card that my Auntie had asked me to make for my cousins 30th birthday in April. She is having a Hollywood themed party so I went for the luxury look for the card.

This was made with pink, blue and white feathers placed inbetween flourish die cuts (x-cut) black and white papers and Santoro's Gorjuss ribbons (which I also made into a double bow on the front)

I loved making this card and I am glad to be making so many cards at the moment... all cards that I sell the proceeds will be donated to a very good cause (please see link) http://www.justgiving.com/Andrea-Procter2

A friend of mine is going to be climbing Snowdon in order to raise £1000 for the North West Air Ambulance. Who have helped 2 people in his family. So to help them reach their goal I thought it was only fair to help out.

Thanks for reading and see you all again soon x
