Mothers Day

Mother's Day 30th March 2014
its that time of year again when crafters all over are getting ready to show their Mum's how much they mean to them and are loved.
So to make things a little different this year I decided to make a different card. I had seen this style on a video somewhere (if I find it again I will post the link :) )

Yep you guessed it.... seems everyone is going barmy for this style of card.. who can blame them though :). Once you start making them they get so addictive. You can so many things with them aswell.

Hope you all like :)

Catch you all soon

Happy Crafting!

Simply GORJUS!!!

The new simply Gorjus range from Docrafts is amazing. I love it!!!
Here are a couple of cards made with this fabulous range.

More recent projects!!!

As the title suggests we have moved onto some more recent projects.

Below are birthday cards I made for my Sister and a friend of ours who turned 30 1 week before I did... :) and an 18th birthday.

Made from a 5 x 7 card. I cut the outline of the glass from the card. Cut another outline of the glass in black card and layered them on top of each other sandwiching a piece of pink pearl card in between. Next I added the glitter across the top of the glass and the pearl drops down the stem. Added the flower to the top corner (cant remember where this is from as I have had it a verrrrryyyyy long time).
Added the sentiment and hey voila!!

This one was just a quick throw together (as I had actually forgot her birthday.. Sorry Sarah)
The backing paper is from New bloom paper pack. a pink 4inch square covered by a slightly smaller black square piece of card then added the glittered numbers, butterfly and Happy Birthday message.

This card is an 8 x 8 as you can see it was for my Sister. Made with the Hunkydory Members free gift.

Christmas!!!

Yes I know Christmas has been and gone....
but here are a couple of cards I made at Christmas

This card was made for a friend using the x-cut square dies to cut the aperture, the x-cut village scene dies, silent night paper pack, Anita's peel off stickers, glue and glitter.

This card was for another friend.. She knows that she couldn't get a card like it elsewhere so asked me to make it for her.
So here is why... She is called by her husbands (robin) family Peg. Hence the robin and the peg on the card.
The card is a 5 x 7 covered with paper from the silent night paper pack. The frame is cut with one of the Die'sire dies from Crafters Companion. A household peg painted gold with rub and buff and a decoupage robin for the centrepiece.

Well this is me....I have just turned 30 and have been crafting since I was in school (I left school 13 years ago but shhhh!!!)

I really got into crafting more when I made my own wedding invites 150 of them. Took my Mum, Sister and Myself months to make them as I wanted each one to be different. At the end of it I was glad that they were all finished and took time out from making anymore.
Don't get me wrong... I was still drawing... cross-stitching making things for around my home.. but every time I looked at my card-making stash I would think urgh!!!

Now my love of card-making is back!! Yay!!!

So please continue to read as I will be updating regularly... but for my first post just thought I would let you know a little teeny bit about me :)

Happy Crafting Everyone!!!!
